Tool Setter (Plastic Injection Moulding)

Description:

Candour Talent are currently recruiting for a Tool Setter (Plastic Injection Moulding) to join our client based in Blackwood.

* Location: Blackwood

* Employment Type: Permanent/Full Time

* Working Hours: Mon-Fri, 7.30 to 5pm with some flexibility, when required

* Salary: £36-38k+ Negotiable DOE

* Benefits: 25 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays, and free, onsite parking

An excellent opportunity for a skilled plastic injection mould condition setter with a driven and ambitious attitude to join a technical team in a busy and fast paced shop floor environment.

Previous experience is essential and a practical demonstration of skills would be required during the interview process.

The Role:

* Carry out mould tool changes as per daily schedule (averaging 5-8 tool changes per day)

* Process and adapt conditions to produce quality approved components

* Complete settings paperwork

* Use of overhead gantry

* Use of robots to include six axis robots

* Responsible for Health and Safety procedures while setting the machines

* Ensure and assist in always maintaining a clean and safe working environment

* Handling of heavy and expensive tooling

The Ideal Candidate:

* Experience in a tool setter role in a plastic injection moulding environment is essential

* A good understanding of automation and process and technical trouble shooting

* Good written and verbal communication skills, and able to work efficiently as part of a team
