Job Title: Tool Maker
Location: Doncaster
Shifts: Days and Afters
Salary: Up to 30K DOE
Metalis are currently in partnership with a long-established manufacturing company in Doncaster. Due to growth and expansion, our client has a fantastic opportunity for a tool maker.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist with the modification or construction of tooling, jigs and attachments to maintain or improve production processes.
Manufacture new tooling when required to issued drawings.
Preventative maintenance on tooling, all aspects of machining and bench fitting, i.e., grinding, turning milling etc.
Testing tooling prior to release.
Assess the life of a press tool and to order any new parts or make new parts that need replacing.
Replace pilots, probe pins, springs, designing and making special fixtures to fit to tools.
Read drawings and suggest possible improvements.
Responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient use and control of machinery, tooling, equipment.
Gas safety inspection on furnaces up to the point of needing external company
Overseeing the CNC shift and assisting them.Requirements:
Be flexible to changing demands of the post.
Be punctual, reliable and trustworthy.
Willing to undertake any training relevant to the role.
Ability to manage time effectively.
Initiative and the ability to work without supervision, but as part of a team.
Supervisory experience essential.
Ability to read drawings.Company Benefits:

Days 6am - 2pm & Afters 2pm - 10pm.
12 weeks temporary to permanent.
