Are you an experienced Tool Design Engineer with a flair for innovation and a passion for precision? Our client in Mildenhall is on the lookout for a talented professional to take the lead in designing cutting-edge production tooling that meets the high standards of their production department.
We are seeking candidates who have experience in using a range of tool room/workshop based machinery and experience in using a 3D CAD software package such as SolidWorks.

What our client offers:
* To take a lead role in the concept and design of production tooling that meets the needs of the production department.
* Manage timelines and resources for each project.
* Generation of project documentation to include detail drawings, spare parts lists, instruction of use literature.
* Generate regular project update reports.
* Create and develop tooling using tool room/workshop-based machinery.
* Develop test methods, data analysis and evaluation to determine or prove design performance.
* Function within all quality systems and regulations.
* Occasional UK and International travel to satisfy the needs of various projects.
What we are looking for:
* Experience in using a range of tool room/workshop-based machinery.
* Experience in using 3D CAD software package such as SolidWorks.
* A University degree in either Mechanical Engineering or Product Design or time served in a similar role.
* Self-motivated and the ability to work well as part of a team as well as on your own initiative.
* Confident and comfortable to provide verbal and written updates to senior management.
