£30,000 - £40,000 + Autonomy + Progression + Company Benefits + Overtime to Increase Earnings

Cookstown, Northern Ireland
Commutable from Dungannon, Magherafelt, Omagh, Tyrone and surrounding areas

Are you a Timber Frame Designer or similar looking for a role where you can take ownership of projects, work with full autonomy and make the role your own within a growing, family-run timber frame manufacturer?

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established timber frame specialist where you will play a key role in the design phase of live construction projects, producing detailed drawings and plans that directly support the manufacture and delivery of timber frame structures.

The company is a growing, family-run business with a strong reputation for quality, a close-knit team and continued demand across residential and construction projects. They are looking for someone with timber frame design experience who can bring technical knowledge into the business, take responsibility for design work and become a key part of the company's continued growth.

The Role

Producing detailed timber frame design drawings ready for manufacture
Taking ownership of timber frame design projects from initial brief through to production
Interpreting client requirements, architectural drawings and project specifications
Creating and amending technical drawings using AutoCAD and SketchUp
Liaising with clients, architects, engineers and internal production teams
Ensuring drawings meet relevant specifications, standards and safety requirements
Supporting design improvements, process reviews and technical development
Working with a high level of autonomy in a growing family-run company

The Person

Timber Frame Designer, Timber Frame Technician, Architectural Technician or similar
Experience designing timber frame structures
Confident using AutoCAD
SketchUp experience beneficial
Able to read and interpret architectural, engineering or construction drawings
Strong attention to detail and logical problem-solving ability
Good communication skills with the ability to liaise with clients and internal teams
Looking for autonomy, ownership and the opportunity to make the role their own
UK driving licence and access to own transport
Based within commuting distance of Cookstown
