TIG Welder
Four-day workweek (Monday to Thursday) | Croydon | £36,500 per annum
We are recruiting for a TIG Welder to join an engineering and manufacturing company based in New Addington, Croydon. This permanent, full-time position offers a four-day workweek (Monday to Thursday) and a salary of up to £36,500 per year.
Working hours: 37.5hrs/week over 4 days; Monday- Wednesday 7am-5 pm and Thursday 7am-4.45pm,
About the role
We are looking for an experienced TIG Welder/Technician to join our team, welding and assembling precision components to high standards and customer specifications.
Role responsibilities
TIG weld stainless steel, mild steel, aluminium, titanium, nickel and other exotic materials.
Carry out precision welding using lathes, turntables and semi-automated equipment.
Perform laser welding where required.
Work from engineering drawings, weld specifications and assembly procedures.
Weld material thicknesses typically ranging from 0.5mm to 10mm.
Work to tight tolerances, including straightness and concentricity requirements.
Support weld procedure development and third-party welding approvals.
Complete manufacturing documentation and maintain high standards of traceability.
Support welding and assembly activities across Production, including occasional off-site work.
Maintain and carry out basic checks and calibration of welding equipment and tools.
About You
We are looking for someone with:
Proven TIG welding experience.
Excellent hand and eye coordination and attention to detail.
The ability to work accurately to procedures, drawings and specifications.
Experience with precision welding, exotic materials, laser welding or certified welding procedures would be advantageous.
