Skilled TIG Welder – Excellent Permanent Opportunity
We’re recruiting for an experienced TIG Welder to join a friendly and growing manufacturing business based on the outskirts of Northampton.
Working as part of a skilled team, you’ll be responsible for assembling and TIG welding a range of stainless-steel metallic hose products, working to precise quality standards.
This is a hands-on role offering the chance to develop your welding skills and become involved across the wider hose manufacturing process.
The Role
Your responsibilities will include:
TIG welding light-gauge stainless steel.
Assembly of metallic hose products.
Using welding jigs, fixtures, rotators and motorised turntables.
Working from standardised work instructions.
Maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy.
Following all health & safety procedures.
Keeping the welding area and equipment clean and well maintained.
Supporting general workshop duties when required.
About You
You’ll ideally have:
Previous TIG welding experience, particularly with light-gauge stainless steel.
Experience using a welding rotator/turntable.
The ability to read and follow work instructions.
Good attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
A positive, proactive “can-do” attitude.
The ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Trainees are also welcome to apply if you have basic Level 1 or Level 2 TIG welding skills. Salary will reflect experience and current skill level, with full on-the-job training provided.
