The company
Established over 50 years ago this manufacturing company, based in Walsall, are industry leaders in high-integrity fabrication, welding, and tube manipulation. Who supplies into a diverse range of sectors, including petrochemical, oil & gas, environmental, and nuclear. After securing several long-term contracts with key customers, the company is now seeking a TIG Welder to join their team on a 3-month contract.
The role
The company are looking for an experienced TIG Welder on a fixed term contract basis, offering a pay rate of £25 p/hr working Monday - Friday (40-50hrs).
You will take responsibility for:
Code Welding on various pipes and plates
Working closely within a large team of welders working with a range of materials including aluminium and stainless/carbon steel
Ensuring a safe working environment by following safety guidelines and procedures
To demonstrate a consistent commitment to integrity and professionalism
What you need
It is ESSENTIAL for the successful candidate to have the following:
Proven experience in TIG welding
Must have site experience, ideally within heavy engineering (power plants, pressure vessels, nuclear manufacturing)
Experience of Welds on Pipework and Pressure Vessels
Other DESIRABLE skills include:
Experience of welding in nuclear, pressure vessels or power plants would be highly advantageous
Familiar with other Weld processes (FCAW, MMA, MIG/MAG, SAW)
