Theraputic and Complex Care Mentor

Description:

We are currently working with a constantly growing Aleternative Provision that have just acquired new space and need additional staff to start ASAP. These roles will start out temporary but will be permanent after a sucessful probationary period.

The AP caters for students with SEND, SEMH needs, ASC, ADHD and increasing complex care needs. Due to this, the setting is looking for people with experience in the followign areas: 
Children’s residential care
Specialist SEND residential settings
Autism and learning disability services
Complex needs care
Supported living
Residential support work
Children’s disability services

A large part of your role will be to understand and help dysregulation, behaviour as communication, safeguarding, personal and intimate care, sensory needs, non-verbal or limited communicationand community safety. Due to the needs of the students, some sessioms may be shorter, so although you will be working 9-3, the students may not be there the entire time so you may be required to work with different students. The roles will be Monday - Friday. 

Although the setting are looking for people with this background, the roles are not care worker roles. You will simply use your skillset and transition them into Mentoring roles. The role does require you to hold a full driving licence with Business Insurance.
