Children and Young people Therapist

Location: Middlesbrough, Tees Valley & North East Region

Contract: Temporary | 14-16 Weeks | 3 or 4 Days Per Week

Mileage/travel across the region included as part of the roleNonStop Care is working with a specialist children's service to recruit an experienced Therapist in Middlesbrough. This contract is on a temporary basis to support children and young people aged 3-19 who have experienced sexual harm and abuse.

This is meaningful work with a National Charity, it is suited for someone who is available for work and looking for a chance to get involved working on a special project.

This is a rewarding opportunity for a qualified therapist to deliver one-to-one and group therapeutic interventions, working closely with children, young people and families across the Tees Valley and North East region.

Responsibilities of the Therapist:

Delivering therapeutic support to children, young people and families
Managing complex and sensitive casework
Working in partnership with parents/carers and external agencies
Maintaining accurate case notes and reports
Applying safeguarding and child protection procedures at all times
Contributing to positive outcomes and service developmentRequirements:

Diploma-level qualification (or equivalent) in counselling, psychotherapy, play therapy, art therapy, drama therapy or music therapy
Experience working directly with children, young people and families
Strong safeguarding and child protection knowledge
