Testing Lead

The Role:

To lead, guide and monitor the end to end IT and BAU testing processes including analysis, design, implementation and execution of testing tasks and activities.

Bringing a structured, well governed and organised approach to ensure on time robust delivery of testing activities to the required standard. Ensuring defects, risks and issues are escalated and resolved within the required timescales.

The main responsibilities will be to develop and agree on the Group's approach to IT and Business Process testing including clear roles and responsibilities, and to deliver a portfolio of testing activities driven by project or BAU work using the appropriate testing methodology and aligned to the Group's testing approach. The projects are likely to be a mix of business change and I.T.

The Person:

A recognised testing qualification such as ISTQB (International Software Testing Qualifications Board) or CSTE (Certified Software Tester) or equivalent work-based experience to demonstrate this level is essential.

Demonstrable experience in managing and coordinating testing on a range of different projects.

The ability to define, design, organise and deliver all testing work, including Functional Testing, System Integration Testing, Regression and support User Acceptance Testing (undertaken by subject matter experts situated within the business).

Ability to plan and manage testing activity end to end ensuring all key stakeholders and participants are aligned, driving on time delivery of testing Document queries and defects and provide adequate data to allow rapid resolution.

Experience in Testing websites and applications on a large scale, and knowledge and experience in Performance testing, API test and cross-browser testing.

Experience in managing a range of complex testing workstreams - Business and IT.

Excellent communication skills to work with a range of colleagues across the business, managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders
