Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) We are recruiting for a Testing Engineer to join a growing engineering business based in the Romsey area.
 
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer with F-Gas certification to join a company specialising in innovative temperature control and cooling solutions. The business works with customers across a wide range of industries and offers a varied, hands-on role within its testing and warehouse operation.

As a Testing Engineer, you will be responsible for the functional testing, inspection and preparation of refrigeration and chiller equipment prior to it being released for hire.
 
Your responsibilities will include:

Testing refrigeration circuits and identifying abnormal operating conditions.
Carrying out full functional testing of hire chillers.
Completing electrical safety checks and visual inspections.
Recording test results, faults, repairs and outstanding issues accurately.
Prioritising workload effectively to maximise productivity within the test bay.
Escalating major faults to the Warehouse Manager.
Providing technical guidance and support to warehouse staff and other engineers where required.
Ensuring all equipment meets the required quality and safety standards before being released for hire.
Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment. The successful candidate will have:

F-Gas certification - essential.
Previous experience in a relevant engineering, refrigeration or testing environment.
Good attention to detail and pride in the quality of your work.
Strong time management and organisational skills.
Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
The ability to remain calm and productive when working to tight deadlines.
A willingness to learn, develop and take on new technical skills.
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Outlook.
A willingness to work overtime when required.
The ability to undertake the physical requirements of the role, including heavy lifting and standing/walking for extended periods. A forklift licence and previous forklift experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
