Testing Engineer
Our client are experts in positioning, data logging and video, they design and manufacture electronic systems to measure, record, display, analyse and simulate data from moving vehicles. Originating in automotive and motorsport, their innovations have taken them into new sectors including aerospace, rail, marine, defence and security, health, agriculture, and most recently, film and gaming.
We are seeking a passionate engineer with a strong interest in technology to join the growing testing team. To ensure the high-quality standards set by the organisation are met, your role will involve validating the functionality, performance, and reliability of products. You will also be responsible for creating and maintaining technical documentation, test plans, and test tools. As part of a project team, you will provide valuable feedback to developers and project members.
Key Responsibilities:
* Active involvement across all product testing phases, from research and development to product release.
* Efficiently prioritize and manage workload to meet project deadlines.
* Develop and utilize software, firmware, and hardware testing tools effectively.
* Create and execute comprehensive product testing plans and strategies.
* Identify and enhance testing tools and processes to improve efficiency.
* Contribute insights to project planning and decision-making processes.
* Maintain accurate product test sheets and documentation.
Essential Requirements:
* Hold an Engineering degree or equivalent qualification.
* Possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
* Demonstrate a logical troubleshooting approach and meticulous attention to detail.
* Exhibit automotive domain knowledge and practical experience.
* Proficient in utilizing hardware testing tools such as oscilloscopes, logic analysers, and multimeters.
* Embrace a positive attitude and excel in collaborating with cross-functional teams.
* Hold a full, clean UK driving license.
* Must reside within a commutable distance of Buckingham.
Desirable Skills:
* Exposure to GPS and automotive-based technologies.
* Understanding of various testing methodologies, tools, and industry best practices.
* Experience with both manual and automated software testing techniques.
* Proficiency in programming, with a focus on Python
