Job Role: Test Technician
Rate: £15.00ph - £20.00ph
Location: Luton
Proactive are currently in search of a skilled test technician to start work as soon as possible. This is an exciting opportunity working for a market leading electronics manufacturing company based in Luton. As a test technician you would be responsible for technical fault analysis including fault finding to a component level. Enhanced testing procedures for all our products. Testing of complete production units. Customer returns diagnosis and repair. Test and failure reports for customers.
Job Responsibilities
Comfortable working in a fast paced and high-pressure environment within an existing product line team.
The Test Technician has a positive can-do attitude and drives quick resolve on unit failure root cause and fix.
Investigate and repair to a component level pcbs and test equipment failures.
Maintenance of all test equipment and response to down time and it's prevention.
Testing of PCBs including High Voltage applications with test report write up.
Familiar with IPC610 Class workmanship and production process.
Proficient reworker of SMT and Thru hole technology components.
Drive down Scrap and Rework with suggestions and input.
Fluent in writing test reports and fault analysis.
Continually work with colleagues to ensure that all processes meet ongoing best practice, ISO compliance and SIL compliance
Work closely with RMA Team to resolve warranties by compiling customer reports in the form of triage reports, problem solving analysis and communicating with the customer cause and resolve.
Work collaboratively with other departments for resolve and improvement of products and services.
Able to communicate quality, technical product and documentation requirements to colleagues and suppliers in a concise and helpful manner.Qualifications
Education level required
Formal Electronics or Electrical Qualification (GNVQ level 3,OND/ONC or degree) Proficient in English and Mathematics.
Years and area of experience required
Minimum of 5 years in a similar roleTechnical knowledge
ISO9001 auditor
Understanding of technical drawings.
Knowledge of Explosive atmospheres.Soft skills
Familiar with Electronics or Electrical Engineering manufacturing
Confident communicator
Attention to detail
