Belmont Recruitment are currently looking for an experienced Test Manager to join a NHS Trust on an initial 3-6 month temporary contract. This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week. The role can be completed from home.
Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced, high-calibre Test Manager to lead the testing efforts for our Trust Integration Engine. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive test strategies, plans, and test cases to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of the integration engine.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and maintain comprehensive test strategies, plans, and test cases for the Trust Integration Engine.
2. Collaborate with suppliers, connected system owners, cross-functional teams, including developers, to understand requirements and ensure test coverage and adequacy.
3. Design and execute manual and automated tests to validate the functionality, performance, and security of the integration engine.
4. Identify, report, and track defects using bug tracking tools and work with the development team to ensure timely resolution.
5. Manage the testing process throughout the software development life cycle (SDLC), from requirements gathering to deployment.
6. Monitor and report on testing progress, quality metrics, and risk assessments to project stakeholders.
7. Continuously improve the testing process by identifying and implementing best practices and tools.
8. Mentor and guide junior testers, fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
Required Skills and Experience:
1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in software testing, with at least 2 years in a test management role.
3. Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, techniques, and tools.
4. Experience with testing web services.
5. Proficiency in creating and executing manual and automated test cases.
6. Experience with test automation tools.
7. Knowledge of defect tracking tools.
8. Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall development methodologies.
9. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
10. ISTQB or similar testing certification is a plus.
11. Experience in Healthcare and Life Sciences is desirable but not essential
12. Experience with testing of HL7 messages is also desirable but not essential
