Our client is currently recruiting for a Test Lead to join their growing and successful SaaS company based near Cirencester.
You will be reporting to their CTO and ideally have at least 2 years’ experience within a similar QA/Testing role. You will be joining their team of 9 developers and as the company progresses their may be opportunities for growth and promotion. You could be involved in all aspects of the software development process, from initial specification and requirements through to final approval and publication of new features.
Duties & Responsibilities:
* Create well written user stories, unit tests and more alongside their development team, providing regular updates.
* Test any changes and new features with a variety of browsers, including Internet Explorer/Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome, Safari and Mozilla Firefox.
* Create and maintain documentation.
* Stay up to date with emerging technologies/industry trends and apply and discuss any that are relevant.
* Assist with anything else that the Managing Director, CTO, Technical Leads or Head of Business Development require with regard to the day-to-day business of the company.
Personal Attributes & Knowledge:
* Have excellent writing skills, providing clear step-by-step test case instructions.
* Great attention to detail.
* Be a confident speaker whilst updating the project team daily with any test results.
* Execute testing; competently recording and collating any results accurately.
* Familiar with Agile/SCRUM software development lifecycle.
* Taking ownership of any difficult testing related issues and be able see them through to their natural conclusion.
* API testing; experience using Postman.
* Have experience working in a smaller-sized organisation.
