Are you an engineer or technician looking to develop your career within automotive testing and electrification? This role offers the opportunity to work within a multidisciplinary test facility, supporting customer projects through test preparation, execution, data collection and reporting.
This Test Engineer job will suit:
* A Test Engineer, Graduate Engineer, Engineering Technician, Automotive Technician or Mechanical Engineer with practical engineering experience.
* Someone with experience working in a test, laboratory, workshop or engineering environment.
* Candidates familiar with instrumentation, data acquisition systems, test equipment and practical assembly work.
* You will hold a relevant BEng or MEng in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, automotive engineering, or similar engineering discipline.
* Someone with strong attention to detail, good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
* Experience with EV systems, batteries, high voltage, CAN tools or environmental testing would be advantageous not 100% necessary.
This Test Engineer job will involve:
* Preparing and setting up test equipment, instrumentation and components.
* Assisting with the development of test methods, procedures, rigs and fixtures.
* Carrying out testing in line with customer requirements, engineering standards and safety procedures.
* Collecting and reviewing test data, supporting technical reports and project documentation.
* Producing risk assessments and ensuring testing is completed safely.
* Working closely with engineers, technicians and customers to resolve technical challenges.
* Supporting continuous improvement activities across the test facility.
This Test Engineer role is commutable from Basildon, Chelmsford, Southend-on-Sea, Brentwood, Billericay, Wickford, Rayleigh and surrounding areas.
