Role: Test Engineer
Contract Length: 12 Months with possible extension.
Location: Hybrid/Edinburgh or Glasgow - Onsite collaboration when required depending on project/team requirements

Pay Rate to Intermediary: £390.50 per day

Spinwell is recruiting for a Test Engineer for an excellent opportunity within the public sector.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE TEST ENGINEER
An experienced developer in test with solid commercial experience of building and testing web applications using React, Typescript in AWS Lambda environment is required to accelerate client’s delivery of the Moveable Transactions registers.
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE OF THE TEST ENGINEER
Significant commercial experience with the following technology:
* Typescript and JavaScript
* SPA, React
* REST APIs
* AWS Lambda
* Junit, WebDriver, Cucumber, Cypress
* Experienced in building and maintaining test automation frameworks
Significant and demonstrable commercial experience in the following areas:
* Delivering high quality software collaboratively in high performing, cross-functional development teams
* Working with the business, to understand the context, and to focus on delivering quality and value.
* Ensuring robustness of code via error-handling, alerting mechanisms, health checks, computer consumable logging, regardless of tools/language/environment.
* Using testing tools for unit testing, including system test automation frameworks
* Working in Agile delivery models
* Working with Digital Scotland Service Standards (or Digital First or GDS quality standards)
* Developing solutions using human-centred, research-driven, inclusive design practices
* Non- functional testing including Accessibility, Usability and Performance testing
* Designing and testing with NoSQL databases, particularly MongoDB and MongoDB Atlas
* Mining of complex data sets to identify complex and boundary test cases
