Test Engineer - Maintenance / Development
£20-27ph - Long Term Ongoing-Contract
Based in Chippenham, the successful candidate for this role will join a team of maintenance and test engineers and be responsible for the maintenance and development of manufacturing test equipment, whilst contributing to the improvement of the equipment reliability
The Role
* Performing planned and predictive maintenance.
* Provide breakdown resolution in a live production environment.
* Assessing need of spare parts
* Undertake effective planning and prioritisation of workload wherever necessary.
* Understand and operate in line with relevant legislation, company policy and company procedures.
* Complete and maintain accurate, timely documentation and records
* Maintain the required standards of housekeeping.
* Create and update test instructions to enable production operatives to operate equipment safely
* Implement design changes to test equipment and test methods as a result of product changes
* Investigate and evaluate test equipment improvements to increase reliability, efficiency and safety
* Undertake any other tasks or duties as required by your line manager whilst conforming to health and safety procedures and policies.
* Contribute to the continuous improvement of processes and practices operated by the Company.
The Person
* Electronics/Electrical based apprenticeship or equivalent qualifications.
* Proven experience in a relevant role in a similar environment.
* Computer literate, knowledge of Microsoft Office.
* Knowledge of electronic/electrical practices.
* A good working knowledge and understanding of test processes and technology,
* Knowledge of National Instruments Hardware and LabVIEW software would be advantageous but by no means essential.
* Able to problem solve in highly production-based environment.
* Familiar with planned and preventive maintenance.
* The successful candidate must have the ability to work on their own and be a fully integrated member of a team
