Salary £35,000 - £40,000 | Flexitime | Midday Finish Fridays | Enhanced Employer Pension

A Test Engineer opportunity has arisen within a well-established engineering and manufacturing business developing specialist machinery for customers across a range of sectors.

Working within a dedicated development cell, you'll build and test prototype machinery, set up validation programmes, collect and analyse test data and support the transition of new products into production. This is a practical position combining mechanical assembly, testing and technical reporting rather than a purely design-based role.

Test Engineer responsibilities include -

Building prototype machinery, assemblies, test equipment, jigs and fixtures.
Setting up and completing mechanical test and validation programmes.
Collecting and analysing test data before producing clear technical reports.
Investigating existing products and recommending engineering changes following customer, supplier, or internal issues.
Machining or modifying development components when required.
Working with Design, Manufacturing and Quality to move new products from prototype into production.Test Engineer desirable skills and experience -

Previous experience as a Test Engineer, Development Engineer, R&D Technician or similar.
Hands-on mechanical assembly, fitting, test rig or machinery-building experience.
Experience working with complex special-purpose or rotating machinery, including hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
Confident collecting and analysing test data.
Experience reading engineering drawings or using machining and welding equipment would be advantageous.Test Engineer benefits include -
