An opportunity has arisen for a Test Automation Engineer to join a specialist cyber technology and software assurance company supporting UK Defence and Critical National Infrastructure programmes.
As a Test Automation Engineer, you will be developing automated tests, investigating software issues and working with technical teams to improve testing solutions.
This full-time role offers a salary of up to £113,000 and benefits. Occasional travel may be required. Please only apply if you have right to work in the UK and valid Developed Vetting (DV) security clearance.
Candidates must hold a British passport and have 10 years’ UK residency and travel history to meet security clearance requirements.
You will be responsible for
* Creating and maintaining automated test scripts.
* Applying appropriate test automation practices and standards.
* Testing software to identify, investigate and resolve issues.
* Working alongside Test Analysts and Software Developers to develop effective solutions.
* Keeping up to date with developments in testing and automation.
* Maintaining your professional development through relevant training and learning.
* Following organisational requirements relating to security, privacy and ethics.
* Supporting team and customer meetings, events and training where required.
* Undertaking other duties appropriate to the role and level of responsibility.
The candidates from the following background will be considered:
* Test Automation Engineer, Automation Test Engineer, QA Automation Engineer, Software Test Engineer, Test Engineer, Automation Tester, QA Automation Engineer, SDET or in a similar role.
What we are looking for
* Valid Developed Vetting (DV) security clearance.
* Highly skilled using languages such as Python, PowerShell, C# and Java.
* A degree in Computer Science, Software Development or a related subject, or an ISTQB qualification.
* Strong problem-solving and mathematical ability.
* A British passport and permanent UK residency history are required to meet the stated security-clearance criteria.
