Test & Commissioning Engineer
Storrington, West Sussex | Up to £55,000 DOE + Benefits + International Travel
Placr's client is a global leader in the design and manufacture of advanced superconducting magnet systems and is looking to recruit an experienced Test & Commissioning Engineer to join their specialist engineering team.
This is an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology, taking projects from factory testing through to installation and commissioning at customer sites across the UK and worldwide.
The Role
* Test and commission superconducting magnet systems at the Storrington facility.
* Carry out vacuum leak testing, calibration, cooldown and system energisation.
* Complete Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and QA documentation.
* Install and commission equipment at customer sites worldwide.
* Work closely with design and production teams to deliver successful projects.
* Support customer acceptance and provide technical expertise on-site.
International travel is a key part of the role, with overseas assignments typically lasting up to three weeks.
About You
* Engineering qualification or equivalent hands-on industry experience.
* Experience in test, commissioning, installation or service engineering.
* Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills.
* Able to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
* Experience with MRI systems, cryogenics, helium leak testing or high-vacuum systems would be advantageous.
* Willing and able to travel internationally.
