Are you ready to play a key role in delivering major automation and control systems projects?
This is a great opportunity for an experienced Tendering Engineer with a background in PLC/SCADA systems to join a growing engineering environment supporting projects across multiple industry sectors. Perfect for someone who enjoys combining technical knowledge with commercial awareness, this role offers involvement in the full tendering process — from costing and proposal writing through to client engagement and sales support.
Tendering/ Proposals Engineer - The Role:
Produce technical and commercial tenders for automation and control system projects
Develop project costings, tender programmes and final proposal documents
Support directors with complex tender submissions and structured bid processes
Monitor tender portals and identify new business opportunities
Maintain CRM systems and sales reporting documentation
Manage proposal templates, costing tools and sales materials
Support client visits and incoming sales enquiries
Contribute to social value, sustainability and governance responses within tender submissions
Tendering/ Proposals Engineer - What We’re Looking For:
HNC or above in Electrical, Electronic, Software or related Engineering discipline
Previous experience within a tendering or proposals environment
Strong knowledge of PLC/SCADA control systems
Understanding of M&E installations beneficial
Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail
Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel and Microsoft Project
Excellent communication, organisation and teamwork skills
Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively
