* Provide guidance around rent arrears, welfare benefits, household budgeting and financial hardship.

* Develop individual support plans in partnership with residents, setting clear objectives and achievable outcomes.

* Signpost and refer residents to relevant internal services and external support organisations.

* Build effective working relationships with Housing Officers, Income teams and other partner agencies.

* Undertake home visits where necessary to assess residents' circumstances and provide appropriate support.

* Maintain detailed, accurate case notes and ensure all records are kept up to date.

* Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with relevant housing legislation, organisational policies and procedures.

* Help improve tenancy outcomes by promoting independence, engagement and long-term housing stability.

* Worked with high risk, complex needs tenants previously

About You

The successful candidate will have a background in social housing, tenancy sustainment, homelessness prevention, income management or a similar support-focused environment.

You will ideally demonstrate:

* Previous experience managing a caseload within social housing or a related service.

* A sound understanding of tenancy sustainment, homelessness prevention and the factors that can lead to tenancy failure.

* Experience supporting residents with complex needs or multiple challenges.

* Knowledge of welfare benefits, rent arrears management, budgeting and financial inclusion.

* Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with residents from a range of backgrounds.

* The ability to develop positive working relationships with colleagues, external agencies and support services.

* Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise a varied caseload.

* Confidence working independently, using initiative and taking a proactive approach to problem-solving.

* An empathetic, patient and practical approach, with a genuine commitment to achieving positive outcomes for residents.
