The Project

As an experienced Temporary Works Coordinator, you will be playing a significant role on a New Build Industrial Development situated in East Yorkshire with a build value in excess of £50m. Your role includes meticulous planning, coordination, and management of all temporary works activities, you will be ensuring temporary structures and processes are implemented effectively, contributing to the overall efficiency and timely completion of the development

Requirements

For this role it is essential that you carry the following professional qualifications as a minimum;

Temporary Works Coordinator Qualification
CSCS
SMSTS
First AidIt is also essential that you hold the experience below;

Proven history of successfully working within the industrial sector with similar build values
Extensive background within the industry with at least 5 years of experience working in a similar position for a leading contractor or subcontractor
Previously operated on various new build industrial development projects, achieving successful project outcomesAdditional skills;

Risk Management skills
Strong attention to detail
Thorough understanding of construction laws and regulations
Effective and efficient communication skills; verbal and written
In depth understanding of relevant health and safety regulations and laws
Solid understanding of engineering principles and construction methods to assess and approve temporary works designsThe Role

Job Title: Temporary Works Coordinator
Job Type: Freelance or Fixed Term Contract
Project: New Build Industrial Development in excess of £50m
Location: East Riding of Yorkshire
Reporting to: Project DirectorDuties

Communicate effectively and regularly with all stakeholders
Provide input, guidance and advice on engineering solutions
Create and execute emergency protocols concerning temporary works
Offer guidance and assistance to site teams regarding temporary works procedures
Ensure that emergency plans are communicated and practiced by all relevant personnel
Ensure that designs are completed by qualified individuals, adhering to all relevant codes and regulations
Create and maintain thorough documentation of temporary works designs, installations, inspections, and alterations
Guarantee adherence of all temporary works to relevant health and safety laws, codes of practice, and industry standards
Evaluate and authorise temporary works designs to ensure compliance with safety and engineering regulations
Perform risk assessments for all temporary works to identify potential hazards and implement appropriate control measures
Perform routine inspections and checks, maintaining the safety and integrity of temporary works throughout the project's duration
Work closely with Project Managers, Designers, Contractors, and other stakeholders to plan and coordinate temporary works activities effectively
