We are seeking an enthusiastic, committed, and inspiring Teacher of Mathematics to join a successful secondary school in Newcastle. This full-time temporary position will commence on 1 September 2026 and run until 31 October 2026, with the possibility of extension for the right candidate.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified teacher to make an immediate impact within a supportive and welcoming department dedicated to delivering high-quality mathematics education.
The successful candidate will:
Deliver engaging and challenging Mathematics lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
Plan, prepare, and assess lessons in line with the national curriculum.
Monitor and support pupil progress, ensuring all learners are challenged and supported.
Contribute positively to the wider life of the school.
Maintain high standards of behaviour, achievement, and attendance.
Work collaboratively with colleagues within the Mathematics department.The Successful Candidate Will Have
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
Experience teaching Mathematics at secondary level.
Strong subject knowledge and a passion for teaching.
Excellent classroom management skills.
The ability to motivate and inspire young people to achieve their potential.
