Pay Rate: £11.59 - £12.18 per hour.
Hours of work: Varied hours between 8.00am- 19.00pm - 35 hours a weekHRGO Recruitment are seeking a reliable and School Handyman to join our client based in a School.
The School Handyman will be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance and repair tasks to ensure the safe and efficient operation of our school facilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in general maintenance, possess excellent problem-solving skills, and be able to work independently as well as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
Conduct routine inspections of school facilities to identify maintenance needs and repair issues
Repair or replace faulty equipment, fixtures, and furniture
Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff and faculty
Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of work areas and storage rooms
Assist in the setup and breakdown of school events and activities
Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and protocols
Keep accurate records of maintenance and repair work performedRequirements:
Must have an Enhanced DBS Certificate
Proven experience as a handyman or in a similar maintenance role
Strong knowledge of general maintenance tasks
