Description:
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an English Teacher to join a welcoming UK secondary school on a temporary supply basis.
The school is looking for a committed and enthusiastic teacher to deliver English across KS3 and KS4, supporting pupils to achieve their academic potential and maintaining high standards of teaching and behaviour.
This role is being offered through a specialist education recruitment agency, providing a flexible supply arrangement for the duration of the placement.
The Role
* Teach English to KS3 and KS4 pupils
* Deliver engaging and well-structured lessons
* Follow the school's existing curriculum and schemes of work
* Maintain positive classroom management and high expectations
* Assess and support pupil progress where required
* Work collaboratively with the English department and wider school team
* Provide continuity of learning during the temporary absence
The Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will:
* Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
* Have experience teaching English at KS3 and KS4
* Have strong classroom management skills
* Be confident teaching pupils of varying abilities
* Be reliable, professional and adaptable
* Have a genuine commitment to supporting young people
* Be available for the duration of the placement
