Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious CPCS Telehandler to join our clients construction team in Catterick Garrison.
The successful candidate will operate telehandlers efficiently across various sites, ensuring the safe and effective movement of materials. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems, commercial driving experience, and familiarity with excavators. Responsibilities
* Operate CPCS-certified telehandlers to lift, move, and position materials on construction sites
* Conduct routine safety checks and maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance
* Assist with loading and unloading materials from lorries and storage areas
* Collaborate with site managers and other operatives to coordinate the safe movement of goods
* Maintain accurate records of equipment usage and inspections
* Follow all health and safety regulations, including site-specific protocols and procedures
* Assist with the operation of excavators when required, demonstrating mechanical knowledge and versatility
Experience
* Valid CPCS telehandler certification is essential
* Proven experience in commercial driving within a construction environment
* Mechanical knowledge or previous experience working with excavators is highly desirable
* Prior experience operating similar plant machinery will be advantageous
* Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
