Telehandler Operator

Bristol: BS2

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and reliable Telehandler Operator to safely operate telescopic handlers on construction and site projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for moving, loading, unloading, and positioning materials and equipment while maintaining high standards of health and safety.

Key Responsibilities

Operate telehandlers safely and efficiently in accordance with site procedures and manufacturer guidelines.

Load, unload, lift, and transport materials around the construction site.

Accurately position materials at required locations and heights.

Carry out daily pre-start checks and report any defects or maintenance issues.

Ensure loads are secure, stable, and within the machine's safe working limits.

Work closely with ground workers, site supervisors, and other plant operators.

Follow site traffic management plans and health and safety regulations.

Maintain the telehandler in a clean and safe working condition.

Assist with general site duties when required.

Comply with all company policies, risk assessments, method statements, and site rules.

Requirements

Valid CPCS or NPORS Telehandler qualification.

Relevant experience operating a telehandler on construction or similar sites.

Good understanding of health and safety procedures.

Ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively with site personnel.

Good awareness of surroundings and safe lifting practices.

Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team.

Relevant construction/site experience is desirable.
