About the role:
Astute's Nuclear/ Defence team are working with a leading company in the Defence sector to recruit for a Telecommunications Engineer to work on an initial 6 month contract, with a chance of being extended beyond this
The Satellite Communications Engineer role comes with an hourly rate of £65.00-75.00 per hour, Umbrella (inside IR35), depending on experience.
Key skills:
The design of new IP and VoIP system, and upgrades to current infrastructure, to deliver new service capability.
Ensuring new services and systems meet UK security requirements.
Managing obsolescence within the existing system to ensure the system remains supportable and compliant to security requirements.
Managing the installation and configuration of new system elements.
Test and commissioning of new equipment and services.
Providing third line support to operations teams.
Who we're looking for:
Cisco accreditation at least CCNA, CCNP preferred.
Experience in the design and delivery of IP communication networks.
Knowledge of VoIP network architectures
Have worked at a telecoms or satellite communication company.
Live SC/ DV clearance
