Job Title: Technician | Electrical

Location: Wellington, Somerset some hybrid working available for the right candidate

Salary: £28,000 - £30,000 PA DOE

Hours: 8am - 4.15pm (Monday-Thursday) 8am-3pm (Friday)

Role Overview

The Production Technician is an entry-level role ideally suited to someone with wiring and soldering experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out planned production activities, including the manufacture, assembly and testing of specialist high-voltage electrical test equipment. Working as part of a dedicated production team, you will follow technical instructions, engineering drawings, work instructions and data packs to ensure products are built accurately, safely and in line with quality standards. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within a specialist engineering environment while contributing to the production of innovative electrical solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Manufacture, assemble and test electrical assemblies and sub-assemblies.
Soldering electrical control boards and wiring harnesses.
Assembling and crimping of complex wiring harnesses.
Fault finding and repair of electrical and associated assemblies.
Maintain workshop tools and equipment reporting failures to the Production Manager.
Ensure all tools and equipment are within calibration date and specification.
Correctly fill out production job cards and other documentation relating to build and quality processes.
Adhere to company policies, procedures and processes.
Maintain clean work areas to maintain efficiency and safety.
Work in a positive, efficient and safe manner.
Wear the appropriate PPE as directed by the Production Manager.
Carry out any other task within scope and spirit of the position.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

NVQ Level 2 or time served in electrical engineering/manufacturing
Good IT skills (Word, Excel)
Experience in working in the electronics industry
Experience of building harnesses
Experience of working on high voltage systems
Willingness to train, and develop
Good customer/stakeholder relation skills.
Ability to multi-task.
Forward thinker.
People person/interrelationship skills.
