Position 1 Recruitment are looking for a Technician to join our client, manufacturing site.
The role of a Technician is to assist the shift supervisor in ensuring that planned and unplanned tasks are performed with effectiveness, efficiency, and always in alignment with the standards set by the company.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* QC check is completed on machines or at your supervisor’s request accurately.
* Ensure all production checks & documentation are completed.
* Report to your Supervisor when any machines are stopped for any reason other than tool changes. Report all machine faults if they cannot be cured or are affecting production.
* Ensure that tool changes, colour changes etc., are carried out in accordance with the training procedure as laid down by the Manager/Technical supervisor or relevant work instructions.
* All check/log sheets and pallet labels should be filled out clearly and correctly with all relevant information.
* Ensure all duties are carried out in accordance with current legislation and company procedures.
The successful Technician should have experience in engineering fields, particularly in mechanical roles. They should be able to work independently, meet objectives, and take responsibility for their work and actions. While a strong understanding of tool changes is advantageous, it is not mandatory. Candidates must have at least a Level 1 Mechanical qualification.
This is a full-time, permanent position, Monday to Friday, with three shifts available: 06:00 to 14:00, 10:00 to 18:00, and 14:00 to 22:00. Alternatively, 12-hour shifts are available as follows: Week 1 - 3 days, Week 2 - 2 days and 2 nights, and Week 3 - 3 nights.
