Job Overview

They are seeking a skilled Technical Writer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a knack for translating complex technical information into clear, concise, and user-friendly documentation. This role involves working closely with our engineering and support teams to document and diagram internal infrastructure tools, as well as creating comprehensive support documentation for end-users.

Key Responsibilities
- Documentation Development: Create, update, and maintain detailed documentation for internal infrastructure tools, ensuring clarity and ease of use.
- Support Documentation: Develop user guides, FAQs, and troubleshooting manuals for end-users, helping to minimize support requests and enhance user experience.
- Diagrams and Visual Aids: Design and produce technical diagrams and flowcharts to represent system architectures, processes, and workflows.
- Collaboration: Work closely with software developers, engineers, and support staff to gather information and understand the functionalities of various tools and systems.
- Content Review: Review and edit technical content produced by other team members for accuracy, clarity, and consistency.
- Standardization: Ensure all documentation adheres to company standards and style guides.
- Feedback Incorporation: Collect and incorporate feedback from users and stakeholders to continually improve documentation quality.

Required Skills and Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Technical Writer or similar role working in Software Engineering
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Technical Writing, Communication, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with technical concepts and the ability to understand and explain complex systems.
- Tools: Proficiency with documentation tools (e.g., Confluence, MS Word, Google Docs), diagramming software (e.g., Visio, Lucidchart), and version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Writing Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to quickly grasp technical concepts and make them easily understandable in text and visual formats.
- Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Problem-Solving: Creative problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to gathering information.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Infrastructure Tools: Prior experience documenting infrastructure tools and systems.
- Support Documentation: Experience creating support documentation for a technical audience.
- Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
