Job Role: Technical Support Specialist

Location: Redditch

Salary Range: £45,000 - £50,000 + Benefits

Our client, a leading global supplier of equipment and services to packaging and label manufacturers, is on the lookout for a talented and ambitious Technical Support Specialist to join their growing team.  With over 130 years of industry expertise and a presence in more than 50 countries, our client continues to drive innovation and shape the future of packaging worldwide.

Key Responsibilities – Technical Support Specialist

Assist the Field Service Scheduler by advising on appropriate Technicians and managing the planning board in their absence.
Follow correct technical procedures using the Salesforce process.
Provide support to the Technical Service Manager on both internal and external projects.
Coach and mentor Apprentices and Field Service Technicians.
Manage Technical Reports for Service Factories.
Aid project teams with major projects, upgrades, and installations.
Maintain profitability within the Service Department.
Support Business Units, Customer Care Specialists, and other departments with technical analysis and parts identification as required.
Attend customer sites for escalated issues beyond the capabilities of Field Service Technicians.
Analyse machine data and collaborate with the technical sales team on recommendations.
Support Installation Project Leaders with technical information and assist in completing snag lists.
Attend customer sites to provide technical support in case of disputes.
Qualifications & Experience – Technical Support Specialist

Minimum of 5 years in a front-line Engineering support role.
HNC in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
Proven ability to prioritise effectively and understand customer demands.
Excellent communication skills with both customers and internal staff.
Efficient in responding to customer requests, maintaining high levels of communication.
Full UK Driver’s License.
Valid passport.
