Technical Support Engineer | Work from home with occasional travel to our Basingstoke office | Full Time | £33,000 per annum

Are you a self-motivated, enthusiastic individual with a keen desire to develop your IT knowledge and skills?

Our client, a distinguished Microsoft Solutions Partner, has an exciting opportunity for you to join their small, but growing, Managed Service team as a Technical Support Engineer.

Our client specialises in providing transformative services focused on Microsoft Cloud solutions, including Office 365, Business Apps, Mobile Device Management, Operations Management, and Azure. They are dedicated to enacting change, achieving outcomes, and building enduring relationships with their clients.

You should have existing experience of Microsoft Cloud Technologies, M365, Azure and Windows operating system. Qualifications in these technologies would be desirable, but not required, although experience in IT Support for at least 4 years is a key requirement.

You will be a highly motivated, well organised with a ‘can do’ attitude, have a passion for customer service and a proven competency in IT infrastructure and end user support.

Your role will be predominately be based in Basingstoke, although travel to customer sites will be required as part of the role so you will need to have a full driving licence and have your own vehicle.

Are you the right person for the job?

Minimum of 4 years’ experience in an IT support environment, or a strong IT background with relevant education
Experience of supporting Microsoft Windows 10 and Microsoft Intune / EndPoint Manager
Working knowledge of Active Directory and GPO
EndPoint Device builds with Microsoft Autopilot
Knowledge and Experience of Office 365 (Exchange Online, User Management, Teams and Skype Online)
Knowledge and Experience of PowerShell
Knowledge of Azure IaaS (VM, Networking and VPN)
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Good communication skills and the ability to work in a team
Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
Desirable:

Previous experience with a Managed Service Provider
ITIL Certification or Experience
Microsoft MCP or equivalent
What will your role look like?

Your role will be key to delivering effective 1st and 2nd line support to customers, focused on Microsoft Cloud Technologies
You will be responsible for ensuring IT issues and requests from customers are resolved promptly and effectively to meet defined SLAs to ensure a great customer experience is delivered
You will be involved in generating support reports and identifying service improvements
