Technical Services Manager
Salary: Up to £75,000 + Bonus/Commission
We are working with a leading design-and-build contractor specialising in high-quality commercial workplace fit-outs and refurbishment projects. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Technical Services Manager to join their team.
This is an excellent opportunity to join an established business delivering full turnkey solutions, working across the technical and building services elements of projects from design development through to installation, commissioning and handover.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring building services designs are fully coordinated, technically compliant and deliverable on site, working closely with internal project teams, consultants, subcontractors and clients throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the technical delivery and coordination of mechanical and electrical building services across commercial fit-out projects.
Manage the technical design process, ensuring designs are coordinated, compliant and aligned with project requirements.
Coordinate M&E subcontractors, consultants and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of building services within the wider construction programme.
Review technical drawings, specifications and design information, identifying potential issues and implementing effective solutions.
Ensure building services installations meet the required standards of quality, safety, performance and regulatory compliance.
Work closely with project managers and site teams to resolve technical queries and maintain programme delivery.
Monitor progress against project milestones, ensuring technical submissions, procurement requirements and commissioning activities are delivered on time.
Support the commissioning, testing and handover of completed projects, ensuring all relevant documentation is provided.
Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors and internal teams.
Requirements
Previous experience in a Technical Services Manager, M&E Manager or similar technical building services role.
Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical services within commercial construction, fit-out or refurbishment projects.
Experience coordinating technical design, subcontractors and building services installations.
Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications and building services documentation.
Good understanding of relevant building regulations, compliance requirements and industry standards.
Strong communication, organisation and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage competing priorities and work collaboratively across design, commercial and construction teams.
A proactive, solutions-focused approach with a strong emphasis on quality and project delivery.
