Description:

Technical Services Manager
London
£75,000 - £80,000

We are recruiting for a Technical Services Manager to take a client-side role within a prestigious, 300,000 sq. ft. trophy building in London.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Technical Services Manager or senior building services professional to oversee the technical operation of a landmark commercial property, managing specialist service providers and ensuring the building operates to the highest standards.

Rather than managing an in-house maintenance team, you will take ownership of contractor performance, service delivery, technical compliance and continuous improvement, acting as the key technical representative for the client.

The Role:

Manage and oversee hard FM service providers, ensuring contractual obligations, KPIs and SLAs are consistently achieved.
Take ownership of the building's technical services, including electrical, mechanical, HVAC and life safety systems.
Lead contractor performance reviews, challenging service partners and driving improvements in quality, efficiency and reliability.
Support and manage mobilisation activities, ensuring a smooth transition of services, systems and processes.
Identify opportunities to introduce new building technologies, smart systems and innovative solutions to improve building performance.
Work closely with property management, landlords, occupiers and other stakeholders to deliver an exceptional building experience.
Oversee planned preventative maintenance, reactive works, statutory compliance and lifecycle replacement programmes.
Monitor service provider budgets, operational expenditure and technical performance.
Drive energy efficiency, sustainability and continuous improvement initiatives across the building.
Maintain high standards of health and safety, risk management and statutory compliance. About You:

Proven experience as a Technical Services Manager, Technical Manager or similar within a large commercial building.
Strong client-side experience, or demonstrable experience managing and challenging third-party FM service providers.
A solid technical background in building services engineering, covering mechanical and electrical systems.
Experience supporting or leading the mobilisation of facilities management services.
An understanding of emerging building technologies, smart buildings, BMS integration and energy-efficient solutions.
Strong commercial awareness, with the ability to manage contractor performance, budgets and service delivery.
Excellent stakeholder management, communication and organisational skills.
A proactive approach, with the confidence to challenge existing processes and drive operational improvements. The Package:

£80,000 basic salary.
Monday to Friday 8am - 5pm.
Client-side position within a prestigious 300,000 sq. ft. trophy building.
The opportunity to influence technical strategy, service delivery and the future development of the building.
A role combining technical oversight, contractor management, mobilisation and innovation
