We are currently seeking to recruit a Technical Services Manager to join the team based at our site in Old Leake, near Boston.

As Technical Services Manager, you would be responsible for assisting the Technical Manager in the management and control of the Technical functions on site to ensure full conformity to customer requirements and specification and manufacturing standards in an efficient manner. As well as continuing to manage the Raw Material & Packaging Supplier Approval system, internal audits, complaints management and Specifications & Customer on line systems. Also, to provide support to other departments as request.

Reporting to the Technical Manager and accountable to all Senior Managers; the Technical Services Manager will help maintain and continuously improve the Quality Management systems in line with BRC and Customer manufacturing standards.

The Technical Services Manager will fully deputise for the Technical Manager; taking responsibility as Customer contact, for the Quality systems and site audits as appropriate.

We are seeking someone who has strong personal ethics and work-related commitment to strengthen our existing team.

As Technical Services Manager, you will:

· Identify and maintain any Health and Safety issues to provide a safe environment which complies with Company rules and legislation.

· Ensure CCP’s are being monitored correctly to produce safe & legal product.

· Manage the Raw Material & Specification Technologist who is responsible for Raw Material & Packaging Supplier approval and Specification program; ensuring that only approved suppliers are used and that supplier specifications are up to date.

· Maintain and develop the site's Pest Control Program

· Manage the recording and overall management of customer complaints. In conjunction with the QA Supervisor, who will conduct the majority of the investigations. Ensuring that complaints are responded to in a timely manner and closed out properly.

· Conduct internal Systems Audits – compliance and gap analysis against customer standards

· Be responsible for Horizon Scanning / Export Health Certificates - A joint function across the Technical Manager / Technical Services Manager and RM Spec Tech to ensure that all upcoming potential issues are reviewed and actioned where appropriate. Export Health certificates to be completed as per order schedule.

· Maintain the Quality Management systems - To keep Customer on line systems up to date regarding personnel, alerts and download of COP’s; completion of GAP analysis in line with BRC and customer manufacturing standards and writing of procedures to ensure compliance with the QMS and that corrective action is completed with appropriate timescales and effectively managed through KPI’s (No Customer non-conformances)

The successful candidate will:

· Be able to communicate effectively at all levels and have excellent IT & presentation skills

· Ideally have previous FMCG experience

· Hold HACCP and Food Hygiene Level 3 qualifications, as minimum

· Have understanding and knowledge of BRC & other major retailer standards

· Hold auditing qualifications, with experience of leading technical audits and visits
