Description:

We are currently seeking to recruit a Technical Services Manager to join Marshall Fleet Solutions (MFS)

Ensure the engineering region runs effectively whilst achieving KPI objectives including but not limited to, customer satisfaction, productivity, first time fix, regional revenue targets and full compliance to Health, safety, and environment standards.
Drive high standards of engineering across the region.
Coach, influence and support a group of regional engineers to deliver the best possible results

Accountability

To deliver technical support to engineers when required
Assist the regional manager to deliver on regional KPIs
Drive positive culture across the region

Responsibilities:

Provide technical expertise within the region.
Coaching of experienced and apprentice engineers.
To ensure legislative requirements, Group Health and Safety and Safe Systems of Work are adhered to within the regional operation and coach we improvements are identified.
In collaboration with other colleagues, ensure a safe working environment is maintained.
Drive continuous improvement in the region by setting targets, objectively measuring performance, providing regular feedback, and coaching.
To assist with regional resource planning and delivery against these plans, including ensuring call out rotas are completed.
To ensure that regional engineering Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) are met.
To contribute towards the continuous improvement of processes/methods and operating practices within the region
To motivate and develop staff with a view to career progression and development.
To ensure that regional engineering Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) are met by setting targets, objectively measuring performance, providing regular feedback, and coaching.

Tasks:

Provide telephone technical support for field & site-based engineers.
Where required, deliver in van training/coaching to support the engineers within your business region. This could include but is not limited to; technical issues with servicing, maintaining, or repairing refrigeration units. Supporting the engineers to utilise their electronic equipment including accurate completion of work via the mobile work order system.
Support the regional manager to ensure the safe operation of any remote sites within the region.
Support the lead engineers where they identify the need for technical support or training
To assist with the recruitment of regional staff.
To provide daily/weekly operational reports and status updates and review as required.
To ensure the timely investigation and resolution of operational and Health and Safety issues
Work with regional manager and lead engineers to plan technical training requirements for the engineers within your region.
To assist with any disciplinary/grievance matters in line with Company procedures.
To build rapport, develop trust and respect from both internal and external customers.
To undertake such duties as may be reasonably required for the effective operation of the function.

Technical Competencies:

Extensive knowledge of transport refrigeration systems
Knowledge of engineering processes, including PPE, vans, tools, parts.
Computer literate to an adequate standard in Microsoft applications
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Basic Mathematics & English

Education:

GCSC level education

Experience:

Experience coaching and leading in the transport refrigeration industry

Additional local needs

Full UK driving licence (Essential)
To work a various locations dependant on business needs
