Technical Sales Representative: 

We are a small but established distributor specializing in natural and smoke ventilation solutions. We pride ourselves on offering bespoke solutions to our customers and, due to expansion, we are seeking a dedicated Technical Sales Advisor to join our dynamic team.

The Role:

This role requires a technically minded individual with excellent administrative and communication skills. 

Based in Essex (Southend on Sea).

Key responsibilities include:

Engaging with customers over the phone to discuss their requirements and preparing quotations.
Learning our product range to provide the best options to customers.
Handling orders from end-users to trade customers, gradually progressing to larger orders and projects.
Understanding and adhering to regulations for smoke ventilation & AOV installations.
Providing technical support to customers during and after installation over the phone.

The ideal candidate will possess:

Experience in the smoke ventilation/fire security industry or knowledge of electrical products, possibly from working at a trade counter (e.g., electrical wholesaler).
A confident yet friendly telephone manner, with the initiative to ask questions and seek solutions.
The ability to work well under pressure, manage their workload effectively, and be an excellent team player willing to support colleagues.

Experience/Skills Needed:

Knowledge of electrical products, ideally from the smoke ventilation or fire protection industry.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
A driven and ambitious work ethic.

Useful Experience:

Experience in the construction industry.
Familiarity with Sage.
Previous sales experience.
Ability to use a CRM system.

Education:

GCSEs in English and Maths.
An Electrical or Engineering qualification would be advantageous.
