Description:

Ambitious? Commercially sharp? Know how to sell capital equipment into manufacturing?

This could be a great opportunity to take your technical sales career to the next level.

We're looking for a driven, commercially minded Technical Sales Manager to develop business across Southern England, selling engineered capital equipment and production solutions into manufacturing and industrial customers.

This is a role for someone who enjoys winning business, not simply looking after accounts.

You'll be selling solutions that deliver genuine commercial benefits, helping manufacturers reduce costs, improve productivity, minimise waste and get more from their production processes.

It's consultative, technically interesting and commercially rewarding.

The Opportunity

You'll take ownership of a substantial territory covering Southern England, with an existing customer base, some established opportunities and plenty of scope to develop new business.

You'll be:

Getting in front of manufacturers and identifying new opportunities

Building relationships with production, engineering and senior management teams

Understanding manufacturing challenges and developing commercially attractive solutions

Selling capital equipment and engineered solutions, not products from a catalogue

Managing opportunities from initial discussion through to order

Developing existing accounts whilst actively winning new customers

Working with technical colleagues to put together the right solutions

Deal values range from around £10k to £1m, so you'll enjoy a mixture of quicker wins and larger, more complex projects.

What We're Looking For

You don't need decades of experience or to have sold exactly the same equipment.

What matters is your commercial ability, technical understanding and appetite for developing business.

Ideally, you'll have:

Experience selling capital equipment into manufacturing or industrial customers

A proven ability to generate and win new business

An understanding of consultative or solution-led selling

The confidence to engage with engineers, production managers and senior decision-makers

The drive to develop a territory and build your own pipeline

The ambition to keep developing your skills and commercial responsibility

You might already be a Technical Sales Manager, or a successful Technical Sales Engineer, Area Sales Manager or Sales Executive looking for a bigger opportunity.

We're particularly interested in people who are proactive, hungry to win business and keen to make their mark.

What's On Offer?

Circa £55,000 basic salary + bonus + company car + generous benefits.

A home-based role with considerable autonomy, an established customer base, strong technical support and genuine scope to develop the territory.

If you're a capable technical salesperson who wants more ownership, more opportunity and a role where your efforts can make a real difference, we'd like to hear from you.
