Technical Sales Manager – Sensors
UK Remote / Field Based | £50,000 – £65,000 + Bonus + Car/Allowance
Do you have experience selling sensors or electronic components and understand how to turn a customer application into a technical and commercial solution?
I’m recruiting a Technical Sales Manager – Sensors for an established technology business supplying specialist products and solutions to customers across the UK.
This is a genuinely field-based role and you can live anywhere in the UK, spending your time developing customers, identifying new applications and taking opportunities from technical design-in through to commercial account management.
The role
You’ll be responsible for:
• Identifying and developing new customers and markets
• Growing existing customer accounts
• Developing technical design-in opportunities
• Understanding customer applications and recommending appropriate solutions
• Managing your sales pipeline and forecast
• Negotiating and winning new business
• Building long-term customer relationships
What are we looking for in our Technical Sales Manager?
Ideally, you’ll already have technical sales or Field Applications experience within sensors, electronics or electronic components, with knowledge of some of the following:
• Temperature and environmental sensors
• Accelerometers
• Gas sensors
• Position and load sensors
• Pressure sensors
• MEMS technology
• Electromechanical products
You’ll need strong commercial skills, technical credibility with customers and experience of design-in selling.
An Engineering or Electronics degree would be beneficial, although equivalent technical experience will be considered.
Package for Technical Sales Manager
Salary: £50,000 – £60,000+ for the right experience
Bonus: 13.5%
Car/Allowance: Company car or £600 per month allowance
Location: Anywhere in the UK, remote/field based
Office: Typically around once a month in Berkshire
A British passport is preferred due to some of the customers and markets supported.
