Technical Sales Executive – Manufacturing & Engineering – Birmingham – Up to £35,000 + OTE

Our client is an established and growing manufacturer and distributor of innovative & technical products for engineering and manufacturing applications.
 
As a Technical Sales Executive, you will develop long-term relationships with a portfolio of assigned key accounts, connecting with key business executives and stakeholders. You will act as the key interface and liaise between customers and cross-functional internal teams to ensure successful delivery according to customer needs.

Competitive salary
Up to £55,000 OTE
Monday – Friday 08.30 – 17.00 (40hrs per week)

Bonus Technical Sales Executive - Requirements

Proven product sales experience in Manufacturing
Experience of working a CRM Package
An understanding of Budget, Forecast + Sales Reporting
A clear understanding of Sales Pipeline Development.  Technical Sales Executive - Responsibilities

Proactively identify and develop new opportunities in Target Markets for Tooling and Modelling Materials.
Ensure strong relationships are maintained with top tier of customer accounts with current level of revenue being maintained as a minimum
Strengthen relationships and build up lower performing accounts with the aim of converting them to a top tier account through cross-selling / up-selling
Manage account activity through actions with the customer and in-house, to optimise Gross Margin, increase sales and decrease cost, and understand each of the contact’s scope of influence.
Analyse contractual terms and conditions to determine the degree of risk. Mitigate through counter proposals. Lead all negotiations.
Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships, developing a trusted advisor approach with key accounts.
Communicate clearly the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to the Head of Business Development.
Meet sales and value-added targets as detailed in the business plan, measured at regular performance reviews.
Monitor, analyse, record and report on activities and provide relevant management information and maintain and develop the customer prospect database.
Attend trade shows and meetings in the UK where appropriate.
Maintain a high standard of communications to optimise business relationships and revenue with new and existing customers.
Carry out market research, and competitor and customer surveys.
Communicate, liaise, and negotiate internally and externally using appropriate methods to facilitate the development of profitable business and sustainable relationships. About Us
