Technical Sales Executive – Generators & Temporary Power
Location: Poole
Salary: £40,000 – £55,000 + Annual Bonus+ Company Car
Hours: Monday – Friday
We're recruiting on behalf of a leading national hire business for an experienced Technical Sales professional to join their specialist Power division.
This is a great opportunity for someone with a solid technical background in diesel generators or temporary power equipment, ideally with hire industry experience, who's looking to join a well-established name with real scope to grow the region.

Join a specialist division within a major national hire businessThe Role
Managing and developing relationships with existing customers across the region
Identifying and winning new business opportunities
Driving hire revenue across generators, temporary power and associated equipment (pumps experience also considered)
Working closely with depot, regional and national sales teams to identify opportunities
Building relationships with key decision-makers, including senior procurement and management contacts
Preparing and delivering customer presentations where required
Attending customer sites, trade days and regional sales meetings
Maintaining accurate customer records and sales reporting
Working closely with operational teams to ensure a high standard of serviceThe Ideal Candidate
Previous hire industry experience
Technical knowledge of diesel generators or temporary power equipment (pumps or wastewater treatment experience also welcome)
Proven background in sales, business development, account management or technical sales
Confident developing existing accounts as well as winning new business
Strong commercial and customer relationship skills
Comfortable dealing with customers at all levels, including senior decision-makers
Full UK driving licenceThis would suit someone currently working as a Technical Sales Representative, Area Sales Manager, Business Development Manager, Sales Engineer, Generator Sales Specialist, Power Hire Sales Representative, or similar.
