Position: Technical Sales Engineer
Area: Covering (Manchester, Lancashire, Cheshire, Yorkshire & Lincolnshire)
Salary: £Negotiable + bonus + car
A supplier of precision cutting tools and tooling solutions.
This is a field-based role with a real mix of account management and new business development. You'll have the freedom to own your territory, backed by an experienced and supportive internal team.
The Role:
• Manage and grow an existing customer base across the above area
• Identify and win new business across manufacturing, engineering, and aerospace sectors
• Provide technical advice on cutting tool selection, application, and optimisation
• Prepare and present technical proposals and quotations
• Work closely with our internal support team to ensure customers get the right solution
• Report on pipeline, territory activity, and market intelligence
Requirements:
• Proven experience in technical sales — ideally cutting tools, tooling, or precision engineering
• Strong understanding of machining processes: turning, milling, drilling, threading
• Self-motivated, well-organised, and comfortable working autonomously
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Full UK driving licence
• An engineering qualification or background is a distinct advantage
