Description:

A leading designer and manufacturer of industrial power solutions have an immediate requirement for an experience Technical Sales and Account Manager professional to cover the Scotland and Northern England.

Salary: Basic circa £50,000 + Bonus circa £12,000 + company car

Location: Home based - Scotland - Glasgow, Edinburgh, Dundee, Stirling, Dumfries

As Technical Sales and Account Manager you will be responsible for managing and growing relationships with existing customers while proactively driving demand for the company's products and solutions with new clients located in Scotland and Northern England (down to Newcastle).

Key Skills and Experience:

Proven experience in external sales, technical sales, field sales or account management roles.
Background in B2B technical environments from in electrical, industrial, mechanical or related sectors.
Strong understanding of sales processes, consultative selling, and stakeholder management.
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the assigned region.
Strong relationship-building skills with a customer first mindset.
Proactive demand creator with a hunter mentality.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Ability to understand technical products and translate them into customer value.
Structured approach to planning, territory management, and pipeline development.
Self-motivated, results-driven, and comfortable working independently in the field.
Competent in CRM systems and digital tools (Teams, Excel, mobile sales apps).

As Technical Sales and Account Manager your main responsibilities will be:

Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned existing customers.
Conduct regular onsite and virtual visits to strengthen relationships and understand customer needs.
Develop account plans to maximize customer value, revenue, and long-term loyalty.
Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by coordinating support, resolving issues, and maintaining service excellence.
Identify opportunities for cross-selling, upselling, and introducing new products to existing customers.
Proactively explore new demand within the ecosystem (e.g., installers, planners, distributors, influencers).
Drive product awareness and specification activities through presentations, demonstrations, and training sessions.
Develop a clear strategy for the assigned territory, including customer prioritization and growth planning.
Achieve sales targets, revenue objectives, and KPIs on a monthly and annual basis.
Maintain accurate sales forecasts, pipeline status, and visit reports using CRM tools.
Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer shifts to adapt strategy proactively.
