Are you an experienced CAD Engineer with strong SolidWorks skills looking to work on specialist engineering projects from concept through to manufacture?

We're recruiting for a Technical Project Engineer to join an established international engineering business that designs and manufactures industry-leading safety and security solutions used across manufacturing, warehousing, automation and industrial environments worldwide. The company is recognised for delivering innovative, high-quality engineered products that protect people, property and processes across a wide range of industries.

This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys solving technical challenges, collaborating with manufacturing teams and seeing their designs become reality.

The Role

As a Technical Project Engineer, you'll be responsible for developing accurate CAD designs and production-ready documentation for bespoke engineering projects. Working closely with engineering and manufacturing teams, you'll ensure designs are practical, cost-effective and ready for production.

Key Responsibilities

* Produce detailed 2D and 3D designs using SolidWorks and CAD software.

* Create assemblies, manufacturing drawings, BOMs and technical documentation.

* Develop practical engineering solutions using Design for Manufacture (DFM) principles.

* Liaise with engineering and production teams to ensure design feasibility.

* Modify and improve existing products to meet customer and project requirements.

* Support projects from initial concept through to manufacture and installation.

* Ensure designs comply with relevant quality and safety standards.

About You

You'll ideally have experience in a Mechanical Design, CAD Design or Technical Project Engineering position and enjoy working within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Essential Skills

* Strong SolidWorks and CAD experience.

* Experience creating assemblies and detailed engineering drawings.

* Understanding of engineering and manufacturing processes.

* Knowledge of Design for Manufacture (DFM).

* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Desirable Experience

* Fabricated steelwork or sheet metal design.

* Modular structural assemblies.

* Security, guarding or industrial equipment design.

* DriveWorks.

* CNC programming or manufacturing automation.
