Description:

Due to expansion, our client are looking for a Technical Paraplanner to complement their existing team.

The

right

individual

will

be

keen

to

take

up

an

integral

position

in

the

firm and

positively

contribute

towards ensuring excellent client outcomes. As our client values a great social environment to work in this role will be based

in

the office Monday – Friday 9am - 5pm

The candidate being sought is a Paraplanner who must delight in the

technical and forensic side of Paraplanning and

not

view

the

role as a steppingstone to advice. They already have a team of trainee Advisers and will require a Paraplanner to support

this

team

after

their

qualification.

Therefore,

our

new

Paraplanner

will

have

a

very

important

role

to play and will be valued as such.

Fundamental Activities:·        Collating of client data to provide a detailed client overview.

·        Forensic Analysis of Client Factfind, Ceding Scheme Information and Clients Objectives to provide basis for research and solutions.

·        Use of risk profiling and fund analysis tools to provide detailed analysis of clients’ holdings, performance, risk, diversification, and reduction in yield.

·        Production of Suitability Letters.

·        Responsibility for ensuring the Clients Compliance file is complete and correct for checking by the Compliance Manager.

·        Use of Cashflow modelling tools to provide detailed analysis of retirement planning and income options.

·        Attending client meetings, note taking and action point noting to be delegated to the administration team. The paraplanner would be the first point of contact for the client for any logistical rather than advice activities. 

·        Ad Hoc project work as and when required in order to comply and stay ahead of legislation and FCA regulations.

·        Maintenance and management of the New Business Register, including regular reporting of Management Information to assist in T&C.

·        Working with other Professional Advisers to collate client information and assist in the holistic advice process.

·        Coordinating the administration function to ensure activities are completed accurately and within agreed timescales.

·        All other proactive activities to support the advice process and to support the compliance team.

Knowledge, Skills and Attitude:

Knowledge:•       You will ideally hold or be working towards a Level 4 qualification in Financial Services.

•       Full support will be provided to achieving Chartered Status if it is not already held.

•       You must have relevant and appropriate professional experience in a similar role to be considered for this position.

Skills:•       Ability to create, analyse and interpret data, which includes both hard and soft facts, to facilitate a detailed advice process.

•       Excellent communication skills to both internal and external partners, as well as clients.

•       Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times and to show tact and empathy with clients and team alike.

•       High level of IT competency including the ability to effectively use a variety of software.

•       Confidence to direct the administration function and to present ideas to advisers and the senior management team.
