Technical Operator – Permanent
Telford, Shropshire
Starting salary: £35,115, rising to £41,200 and then to just under £45,500 once fully signed off
4 on / 4 off | 12-hour rotating Days & Nights
Are you an experienced Technical Operator, Production Technician, Manufacturing Technician, Machine Setter, Process Operator or Skilled Machine Operator looking for a secure, permanent opportunity?
We’re recruiting 8 Technical Operators for a leading food manufacturing business in Telford. These are permanent positions from Day 1, with interviews available straight away.
What’s on offer:
£35,115 starting salary
Salary progression to £41,200, increasing to just under £45,500 once fully signed off
Permanent contract from Day 1
4 on / 4 off shift pattern
12-hour rotating shifts: 7.30am–7.30pm / 7.30pm–7.30am
Established food manufacturing environment
What you’ll be doing:
Setting up and operating complex manufacturing machinery
Completing efficient changeovers to minimise downtime
Carrying out routine machine checks and cleaning
Identifying process faults and resolving issues quickly
Completing pre-use and quality checks
Working closely with production and management teams to maintain performance and safety standards
What we’re looking for:
Previous experience in a similar manufacturing, production or engineering role
Strong mechanical aptitude
Experience operating, setting and maintaining manufacturing machinery
Good problem-solving skills
Strong health and safety awareness
Good communication and teamwork skills
Ideally based within 25 miles of Telford
