Description:
A leading provider of expert safety and rescue teams across the UK is seeking a Technical Operations Manager to help develop, implement and oversee the Company’s safety procedures, technical standards and compliance frameworks. The Technical Operations Manager will need to have strong operational experience in leading others, have worked in the health and safety sector or have direct experience working with confined spaces. In addition, you must have a full UK driving licence, NEBOSH certification, and have great IT, communication and relationship building skills.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead and oversee all rescue activities across the organisation
Develop quality technical risk assessments, method statements and emergency rescue plans
Ensure all staff are properly trained, competent and certified
Conduct regular audits to monitor compliance with safety protocols, identifying areas for improvement and ensure accurate record keeping
Actively engage in business development opportunities and assist in the continued growth of the business playing a key role in future developments
Build ongoing relationships with key stakeholders within the business
Support the running of the Head Office facilities as and when required, including being either/or a First Aider, Fire Marshal or Mental Health First Aider.
Handle all information with confidentiality and sensitivity
Continuously review and identify improvements and efficiencies on how this role operates
Adhere to company’s policies and procedures
Report any discrepancies immediately to line manager or senior management, with recommendations for solutions
Knowledge, skills and qualifications required:
Previous experience in a people management role
Proven experience in Health and Safety management
Strong leadership and excellent written and verbal skills
Ability to develop and implement complex safe systems of work
Capability to prioritise multiple tasks and manage resources effectively
Is passionate, accountable, and motivated
Be able to build relationships and is highly professional
Have relevant qualifications in relation to the role
Proficient in IT including Microsoft Office suite
NEBOSH certificate
Have a full UK driving licence
Be first aid, fire marshal or mental health first aid trained
Must be willing to undergo relevant qualifications for the role
Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 DOE
